Nurse Extern Program

Nurse Externs Needed. Heart Required.

Palestine Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is actively enrolling Nurse Externs. Our Nurse Externs are eligible for a sign-on bonus, and while the position is initially PRN (as needed), Externs who meet the program requirements will be offered a full-time position upon graduation. PRMC’s Nurse Extern I program consists of educational activities designed to optimize a student nurse’s experience while still in school. Experiences include hands-on patient care, simulation center, skill days, classes, and mentored preceptor shifts.

Program requirements are:

• Level 3 Nursing Students
• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA

Nurse Extern opportunities are made available as possible within the following departments:

• Behavioral Health
• Critical Care Services/Cath Lab
• Emergency Department
• Labor & Delivery/Women's Services
• Med/Surg
