iLaboratory services are critical in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. At Palestine Medical Center our laboratory is equipped with the highest quality technology and staff.
Our laboratory team is proficient across all lab functions including hematology, chemistry and microbiology.
Lab technicians mostly analyze urine, tissue and blood samples to determine the presence of infection, bacteria or other abnormalities. These results will then be made available to the physician who ordered testing on the patient’s behalf.
Some laboratory screenings are available within thirty minutes of testing, but often samples take up to two days to process.
Palestine Regional Medical Center is committed to providing the best laboratory services possible which is why we are surveyed by the Joint Commission.
Our laboratory services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Good Laboratory Practice Standards (GLPS) is a compliance monitoring program that ensures the quality and integrity of test data submitted to the Joint Commission accreditation agency, and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB). Proficiency testing is to insure our compliance with the Joint Commission accreditation. Data obtained through laboratory inspections and data audits is used by the agencies to regulate our laboratory quality of patient’s services.
