The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Recognized as a 2018 Healogics Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence

March 29, 2019

Palestine, Texas (March 5, 2019) – Palestine Regional Medical Center announced that Healogics presented the 2018 Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence Award to its Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine.  Our Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal.

This award is incredibly important.  It demonstrates our Center’s continued and consistent commitment to our patients and hospital partners, and a focus on creating an exceptional patient experience.  Michael Rivas is the Program Director for The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine.  The Center is staffed by Adrianne Smith, MD and certified wound care nurses uniquely equipped to help heal chronic wounds.  The staff treats non-healing wounds that have not responded to standard treatment of care and require advanced wound healing.

Dr. Adrianne Smith complimented the entire team in saying, “The Palestine Regional Medical Center’s wound care team is dedicated to the mission of providing practical, cost-effective wound care. Wounds can be life altering, and healing requires focused participation from the patients and their loved ones.  Successful outcomes can be achieved, only, through open collaboration with others serving our community: primary care, specialists, surgeons, home health nurses, physical therapists, social workers, hospital administrators, and community services.  To heal wounds, improve health and uplift lives- 'it takes a village.'  Thank you for your support of our mission."

“We are deeply committed to providing high quality care for all of our patients,” said Victor LeGloahec, Senior Director for Operations and Business Development.  He went on to say, “The efforts here are a reflection of our mission of Making Communities Healthier.  The wound care team is dedicated to providing high quality care and customer service to the people of Palestine and the surrounding community.  To receive national recognition is truly a testament to their dedication to excellence and consistency.”
