PRMC Announces Free Sports Physicals for Some Palestine ISD Athletes

Palestine, Texas – Palestine Regional Medical Center joins with Palestine ISD in announcing their upcoming sports physicals that are open to students in the 6th, 8th, and 10th grades and who are participating in athletics at Palestine High School and Palestine Junior High School. 

There is no cost for the sports physicals that will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Palestine Junior High School Gym located at 233 Ben Milam Road, Palestine, TX 75801.  Sports physicals begin promptly at 4:00 pm.  Staggered arrival times will be adhered to.  Students with last names beginning A –F should arrive at 4:00 pm; G-M arrive at 4:45 pm, N – Z arrive at 5:15 pm. 

“We are happy to be working with the Palestine ISD to provide necessary sports physicals to students in the 10th, 8th, and 6th grades at Palestine High School and Palestine Junior High School,” said interim Chief Executive Officer, Richard Grogan.  “Dr. Stephen Johnson and Dr. Ro-Jon Grogans are committing their time and expertise to provide services for this great community outreach program.  We couldn’t be more pleased to offer this to our community,” says Grogan.

Palestine Regional Medical Center is working closely with two physicians, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Grogans, and with Bethany Coyne, athletic trainer at PISD to provide this much needed program.  “We thank Dr. Johnson, Dr. Grogans, and Bethany for their hard work in getting these physicals organized.  We look forward to providing services to these athletes,” added Grogan.  “This community outreach program aligns perfectly with our mission of making our community healthier.”
