Interim Medical Director Named at PRMC Wound Care Center

The Wound Care Center® at Palestine Regional Medical Center, which offers state-of-the-art treatment practices and protocols to reintroduce the body's innate ability to heal, is happy to announce the return of Dr. James Wood as interim medical director.

Dr. Wood will be responsible for reviewing patient care and results, evaluating new clinical products and providing oversight and guidance on policies and procedures.  A member of the Healogics™ network, the Wound Care Center® employs a rigorous scientific approach to explore, test, find and develop the clinically proven methods and technologies that help people heal faster and more completely than before.

Dr. Wood previously served as medical director of the Wound Care Center® and is very well respected throughout the community and surrounding areas.

Dr. Wood attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School, San Antonio.  He attended the University of Texas Medical Brand in Galveston, Texas for his residency in general surgery, as well as residency at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals at Michigan State University where he served as chief resident.
